Taiwan Pieces
One of the most common ways to bring famous artwork to more people is though reproductions.
Our museum reproduction porcelains were made in Taiwan and are high quality replicas of ancient art, intended for museum use. Some of the most popular shapes and designs of classic pieces can still be enjoyed today, thanks to the techniques spread by reproduction.
Jingdezhen Pieces
Jingdezhen is a city in Eastern China which specializes in fine porcelain wares. With rich history dating back to the 6th century, experienced artists from this region continue to make ceramics to this day.
Around the 12th century, Chinese emperors declared kilns in Jingdezhen to be the sole providers of pottery to the Imperial Court. Now, the city is considered to be the "porcelain capital of the world," as it's exporting capacity quickly grew in the 1800s, spreading the art form throughout the world. Centuries of craftsmanship combined with modern design techniques brought us to our current collection of Jingdizhen porcelain.
