T'ang Yin excelled in poetic calligraphy and realist paintings. This piece displays massive, sheared mountains over a river and a path, and was made as a gift to Li Ching, the governor of Wu-Hsien. It is a specimen of Chinese landscape paintings and is one of the best-known Asian classics of the modern day.
